Beef stroganoff


Item required
1/4 cup butter or margarine
4 medium onions, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon dry mustard
1 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon pepper
2 cans (4 oz. each) mushroom stems
and pieces, drained
2 to 21,4-lb. boneless beef round steak,
cut into thin strips
1 cup sour cream
Hot buttered noodles
Settings: HIGH/DEFROST
1. Combine butter, onion, dry mustard, sugar, salt and pepper in 3-quart glass casserole; cover.
2. MICROWAVE on HIGH for about 10 MINUTES stirring twice. Stir in beef; recover.
3. MICROWAVE on HIGH for about 6 MINUTES or until no longer pink. Stir in mushrooms; recover.
4. MICROWAVE on DEFROST for 20 MINUTES. Mix in sour cream; recover, and MICROWAVE on DE¬FROST for 4 to 5 MINUTES or until heated through. Serve with buttered noodles. Let stand, covered, 5 minutes before serving.
